This is a matter for the client to determine. Nevertheless, if a client is not entirely familiar either with the business culture, or the tax or legal system of the country in which they are seeking advice, it can prove helpful to involve their local representative. In doing so, a local representative can convey to their IGAL colleague - in the most accurate manner possible - exactly what is required, as well as assist in interpreting back to the client what may or may not be practicable, or even possible in that jurisdiction.
Indeed, the opportunity for qualified international professionals to liaise with one another on behalf of their clients is one of the key advantages of working with IGAL member firms.
